Who You Are Dealing With
We're a garage door repair and install outfit working out of 4800 SW 51st St in Davie. We don't run a call center and we don't dispatch from three states away - the person who answers the phone is the person who knows what's on the truck. We're not going to hand you a made-up history or a customer story to make this page feel warmer.
What we can tell you is what we work on and where, and what it takes to get you an accurate number instead of a guess. Most of the housing stock in this part of Florida went up between 1953 and 2005, with a good chunk of it from the 1960s and 70s - that matters more than it sounds like it should, because a door and opener from that era often runs on hardware nobody stocks new anymore. If your garage door is acting up, the fastest path to a real quote is a short call where we ask a few questions before we ever quote a number over the phone.
The Work We Take On
We handle torsion and extension spring replacement, broken cables, bent or dented panels, opener repair and replacement, track realignment, roller swaps, and full door replacement when a repair isn't worth doing. We work on residential garage doors - single and double, wood, steel, and aluminum - on houses across this part of the service area, roughly the corridor between Southwest Ranches (6 miles out) and towns like Lauderhill and Dania Beach a few miles further on. We don't do commercial rolling steel doors or gate systems, and we're upfront about that rather than stretching to cover it.
Florida's mild temperate climate is easier on doors than a lot of the country, but the salt-heavy air still eats through unprotected hardware faster than you'd expect, especially on older galvanized track and springs original to a 1970s build. If a door is beyond a reasonable repair - cracked panels, a bent frame, an opener that's outlived its parts - we'll say so instead of patching it and sending you a bill for a fix that won't hold.
The Short Version
A quote is only as good as what we know before we show up. Over the phone we can give you a range if you can tell us the door's approximate age, whether it's one panel wide or two, and what it's actually doing - won't open, makes noise, sags on one side, opener clicks but nothing moves. What we cannot price sight-unseen is anything involving spring size and tension, off-track cable damage, or hidden rot behind trim, because those depend on measurements we have to take in person.
If your house falls into that common 1953-2005 build range for this area, tell us roughly when it was built - it narrows down the hardware fast, since torsion setups and mounting styles shifted more than once over that stretch. We'd rather ask three extra questions up front than quote low and change the number on your driveway.
